A big “hi!” from over 4 months on…

14 Dec

So it’s over 4 months now since I had my surgery & wow!, it has been a long and tough ride with many ups and downs, but you know what guys? I am alive & I am smiling! 🙂

I am now 20 years old. To celebrate my 20th Birthday was just a gift in itself, life itself was the best Birthday gift, a gift where there was no pain and no illness, for the first Birthday as long as I can remember. Does being 20 feel any different? The answer is no, it doesn’t 😀 I’m just not a teenager anymore, and with age comes more responsibility I guess!

I look back on the past 4 months and look how far I have come and all the things I have already accomplished, such as: learning to change my bag and clean my ileostomy, being welcomed aboard the ‘Stomawise’ team, being able to go on long journies without worrying about my stomach and bowel accidents, made lots of new friends and been able to help others from my experiences with IBD & my Ostomy, going away for weekends and going on nights out and not excluding myself indoors for the first time ever without worries! 🙂 There is a long long list. I have been proud of my ostomy since Day 1, and despite my down days naturally, I have embraced it and learnt that having an ostomy does not stop me doing things and living my life the way I want, it does the opposite; opens many doors and leaves me able to experience many new things and a great chance to be happy and healthy. I am learning new things day by day with my ostomy and have learnt a lot about how to look after StaceyStoma, what affects her and how to use the products related to my ostomy.

2012 will hopefully be MY year! Mine and Stacey’s year in fact! I hope to accomplish many more things, such as start University & organise my own ostomy fashion show 🙂

I hope everyone has a Happy & Healthy Christmas and New Year 🙂

I am SO looking forward to my Christmas Dinner! The first time in ever I am looking forward to it! 🙂 Eeeee!

Just got nearly all my presents wrapped & cards wrote, yay 🙂

Nearly 4 Months On.

First of all, a great quote:

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” ~ Mark Victor Hansen ♥

Love this quote and everything it says.

So it’s nearly 4 months since I had my surgery and wow, I’ve come a long long way! I have been getting busier lately, needless to say more tired, but I am trying to balance the both out, somehow! I’ve been doing my voluntary work at a local pre-school, seeing friends, housework, being with my family and doing my IBD & Ileostomy Support.

Wouldn’t be without Stacey! Much love for her! 🙂

Oh hello insomnia

It would be REALLY great if you could let me have even 4 hours sleep before I have to drive home to the dentists? Thanks!
